Welcome to the Couch Potato® program; an interactive web program designed
to reward our best viewers. The more you watch San Diego 6, and the
more you participate with Couch Potato® and Couch Potato® events, the more
opportunities you'll have to win!
The Couch Potato® program is always accessed from the San Diego 6 website
at www.sandiego6.com.
To log into Couch Potato®:
- Go to the
San Diego 6 homepage at http://www.sandiego6.com
- Type your email address and password into the fields provided at the top
right of the page
- Click the Login button below the password field
You will then be logged into Couch Potato®.
Some players have been unable to access
the Couch Potato® website due to having cookies from the sandiego6.com domain
blocked in their web browser. Please ensure you have cookies enabled for sandiego6.com.
If you are using Internet Explorer, here are the steps to do that:
- Go to "Tools" menu, and then "Internet Options"
- Click on "Privacy" tab
- Click "Edit" button
- Type "sandiego6.com" in the box (no www nor quotes) and click "Allow"
- Click "OK"
- Click "OK" again
- Close Internet Explorer and reopen it, then try logging in again
Tech Support
If the above steps were not helpful, you
can submit a trouble ticket to the Couch Potato® Support Team by
using the form on the Tech Support page.
Once you have logged into Couch Potato® through the San Diego 6 website, you
can visit the pages that display free stuff and point opportunities
directly. In order to earn points, view your account balance, and see special
messages, you must register and set up a username (your valid email address)
and password. The pages or features that require your username and password may
be reached on the San Diego 6 home page.
Once registered, all you need to do is enter your username and password to
gain access to the Couch Potato® features. You will be able to update your
registration information as needed and change your password. Profile
updates and password changes have no effect on your points account. Your
point balance will always remain tied to your username.
Couch Potato® Points
The accumulation of Couch Potato® Points gives you opportunities to win
your share of the hundreds of thousands of dollars in free stuff, cash,
and discounts offered throughout the year from San Diego 6. There are many ways
for you to earn Couch Potato® Points, as outlined below.
- Couch Potato® Code. Each weekday during San Diego 6
in the Morning and throughout the day, the daily Couch Potato® code will be
announced. Visit www.sandiego6.com,
login to Couch Potato®, click on "get more points" and enter the
correct Couch Potato® Code, then click on "Submit."
- Trivia: There will usually be a weekday trivia game about
a segment from San Diego 6 in the Morning, and a weather trivia game weeknights during
the News at 10.
- Bonus Codes:
- Events for Points. From time to time, San Diego 6 will announce
events on-air, display them on www.sandiego6.com
or as a website message in Couch Potato®, where Bonus Codes will
be given away. Watch San Diego 6 each weekday morning for Bonus Code
point opportunities.
- On-air Giveaway. Periodically,
San Diego 6 will award Bonus Codes just for watching! Watch San Diego 6 for more about these Bonus Code point opportunities.
- Partner Bonus. San Diego 6 will regularly post "Partner
Links" on various pages of our web site at
www.sandiego6.com.
When you visit these sites you will be given Bonus Codes good for
a specified number of Couch Potato® Points.
Your Couch Potato® Account
As Couch Potato® Points are earned, they accumulate in your Points Account.
To check your current balance of Couch Potato® Points, login to Couch
Potato and click on "My Points."
Viewer Points Value
San Diego 6 offers this program because we wanted a system that would
give our best viewers the best chances to win cool prizes, free stuff
and discounts. We needed a method whereby we could reward most of the
viewers of San Diego 6 each time they participate with us.
Through the accumulation of Couch Potato® Points, you, as one of our best
viewers, will reap the rewards! As your Couch Potato® Points accumulate,
here's how you can use them towards free stuff, cash and discounts.
- Prize Purchase.Periodically, San Diego 6 will offer valuable
free stuff and discounts on products, services and events in exchange for
Couch Potato® Points. To receive any item offered, simply log in to Couch
Potato through www.sandiego6.com,
click "Free Stuff," enter the quantity you wish to purchase and click "Buy."
If you have sufficient points and haven't already bought your limit (if any),
your purchase will be confirmed and you'll receive an email with instructions
for claiming your free stuff or discount. Once you click the "Buy" button, if
the transaction is successful, the point amount will be deducted from your
Points Account and cannot be returned.
- Rewards Auctions and Sweepstakes. Periodically, San Diego 6 will
offer exclusive benefits and privileges reserved for Couch Potatoes® only.
Free movie premieres, sporting events and concerts, private parties and much,
much more... in exchange for Couch Potato® Points. Some of these offers will
be found on the web site, some will be announced on air or via email. Along
with each offer, viewers will be given instructions for bidding points or
submitting points surrender offers. All winning bids and point offers will
be subject to verification. For auctions, points will be deducted for the
winning bidder only. For sweepstakes, points will be deducted as bid, and the
points will serve as sweepstakes drawing entries.
- Award Level Bids. Periodically, San Diego 6 will offer free
stuff based on the first person(s) to accumulate a designated level of points.
For example, X number of movie passes may be offered to the first person(s)
that want to claim them for 10,000 points each. The manner in which these
points may be bid will be displayed or announced along with the item
offered.

CONFIRMATION EMAILS
If you have made a purchase but you have not received a confirmation email yet, please call 858-279-6666 Monday - Friday 9am - 5pm. Let the receptionist know that you would like to confirm your Couch Potato purchase. Once you have confirmed your purchase you may pick up your prize as long as you bring your valid photo ID. Do not wait until the last minute!

POPULAR ITEMS
When playing Couch Potato, please remember that some items will be very popular, you must continue to refresh your page at the right time to go from "Coming Soon" to available. If, at the right time you don't see the "buy" box, it means that the items are "Sold Out". Couch Potato cannot control the speed in which the items sell out.

LOCKED ACCOUNTS
If you are using a YAHOO email or a company issued email (ex: yourname@yourcompany.com) or anything non-traditional you may experience problems with receiving email communications from the Couch Potato System. To avoid this and avoid any bounced email we highly suggest using a GMAIL, HOTMAIL or AOL email account for Couch Potato.
To change your account information you need to first log in to your Couch Potato account. Once you are logged in click on the "My Info" tab at the top (next to "Tech Support"). This page will show all of your account information. At the top of the box there is a link "Edit Info". This page will allow you to change your personal information. Once you are finished making the changes please click "Update My Info" at the bottom of the page. If you are changing your email address your points will stay in your account and you will just have a new email to use to log in. Please send in a Tech Support ticket if you have any questions.
